Into The Woods – Shirley Hills

So ‘Addington Hill’ seems to also come under the name ‘Shirley Hills’. Either way, I prefer Yosemite for this gargantuan woodland. I was on the hunt for lizards today. I’m not quite sure I believe that there are lizards there… but I thought it would be fun to look for them anyway. I didn’t find any, but I did find a thrush in the trees, plenty of goldcrests and some parakeets terrorising a squirrel!

I noticed some very bright and interesting bark on some of the trees so thought I’d compile a collection of textures from the woodland. I also found some funky fungi dotted around.

The lizards will have to wait.
